On the Move

Clients:

– Michael Seaton has been appointed as senior manager of customer contact in the The Bank of Nova Scotia’s retail marketing division. Seaton was formerly marketing manager at S&P Data, a company he had been with for six years.

Other people on the move from s&p, which was acquired by u.s.-based International Data Response Company (idrc) in 1996, include director of client services Annita Lala, who has left to form her own call centre consultancy practice, and business development manager Eric Yuzpe, who has joined Toronto-based Telespectrum Worldwide as managing director, north and west region.

– Save the Children Canada has a new director of development and volunteer services in Frank Greco, formerly director of marketing communications at the Canadian Mental Health Association. Greco replaces Gail Smith, who retired in December.

Prior to joining the cmha two years ago, Greco was national fund development manager at the Canadian National Institute for the Blind.

In his new position, Greco is responsible for developing and implementing a new national marketing plan for Save the Children, an international organization that runs more than 90 child support projects in 11 developing nations.

Agencies:

Padulo Direct President Lori Appleton has left the Toronto-based agency to head up Gingko Direct, the new direct marketing unit at the Gingko Group, also based in Toronto.

Prior to joining Padulo, Appleton was president of COR Direct in Toronto. David Deacon, chief operating officer of the Padulo Group, says Appleton will not be replaced immediately. Instead, he says, management duties at Padulo Direct will be shared by a number of senior directors.
