For the Record: Canadian creative impresses Brits

Canadian creatives walked away with four awards at the 12th annual London International Advertising Awards, held Nov. 12 in England.

Winners included: Leo Burnett Toronto in the print category for ‘Designer’ (Client: Special K). Pirate Radio Toronto in radio for ‘George does Clint’ (Client: Act One). Loblaw Brands Toronto in package design, coffee category for President’s Choice Pinon coffee, and Toronto’s Dollery Rudman Freibauer Design in dairy package design for Neilson Tru Calcium and Tru Taste.

The event, a global competition, attracted entries from as far away as Australia and Brazil.

Total awards given were 143. This year’s entries numbered 15,870 compared with 13,943 in 1996.
