For everyone scrambling to get their 2009 Marketing Awards entries in by the end of the week, good news. You’ve got some extra time—three weeks worth, in fact.

With a large number of submitters requesting extensions, 2009 co-chairs Patrick Scissons and Frederic Girard have, in cooperation with the entire Marketing team, arranged to extend the deadline to Friday, March 6. All submission information, including detailed category and submission criteria, is available at TheMarketingAwards.ca. Queries can also be directed to Tina Weston at (416) 764-1608.

And, don’t forget three new categories have been added this year, for Cinema, Other Broadcast and the prestigious new Excellence in Brand Creativity, the latter of which will be judged by select Marketing Awards jurors along with a panel of senior marketing executives from the client side.

This year’s winners of the Canadian advertising industry’s most prestigious awards will be announced at the Marketing Awards gala June 9 in Toronto, with details to follow shortly.
