Accessible Media, a Toronto non-profit that provides media access for visually and hearing impaired Canadians, has hired digital agency Quizative to help develop a mobile strategy for its services.
Quizative’s task over the coming year is to envision future applications of mobile technology for Accessible Media’s more than five million clients. The so-called mobile “roadmap” will encompass everything from tablets to handsets, and could help shape Accessible Media’s product offering over the next number of years, said Quizative president Adrian Capobianco.
“Just regular retailers and banks are trying to figure out how mobile’s going to impact them; imagine trying to figure out how mobile’s going to impact the services for someone who can’t see,” said Capobianco. “It’s a fascinating project to work on.”
The project will use Quizative’s expertise in digital marketing, as well as an emerging product and services innovation practice that Capobianco expects to account for up to a quarter of the agency’s revenues this year.
Quizative is currently conducting brainstorming sessions with hearing and sight-impaired Canadians as well as Accessible Media’s staff and partners. The result will be a prioritization list of recommended products, services and partnerships that the organization can then use to refine and develop its product offering.
Billing itself as a “digital innovation agency,” Quizative has done extensive work with clients in the non-profit sector–including the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada and Smart Serve Ontario (which provides training for individuals who serve alchohol).
