Aptilon Corp. has reached a deal to acquire Tinderbox Partners Inc. of Montreal, a digital marketing firm for drug firms, for $2.8 million in cash and shares.
Montreal-based Aptilon enables pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device companies to reach physicians via the Internet through its AxcelRxSM Live video detailing and other programs.
Tinderbox operates Allied Health Partners, an online network of medical and other partner channels offering access to health-care professionals.
Aptilon said Friday it will pay $1.5 million in cash and $1.3 million worth of shares of Aptilon at a deemed price of 40 cents each.
Aptilon president Denis Martineau said the transaction, “in combination with the previously announced acquisition of Mikich Co., the company operating Med2020.com and GasJobs.com, will strengthen the leadership position of the Aptilon ReachNetSM Physician Access Channel.’’
