Astral Media has signed on as media partner for the upcoming C2-MTL creative business conference in Montreal.

The conference, which takes place May 22 to 25, will feature speakers that work in the creative and business industries and will focus on how companies can leverage creativity. In addition to the conference element, C2-MTL will also include networking opportunities, workshops and theatrical shows and is expected to draw roughly 800 attendees.

A media campaign for the conference launched today on Astral properties in Montreal’s business district and Toronto. The ads will run until April 1 and the campaign was created in-house by C2-MTL. The conference will be a joint effort from Sid Lee, Fast Company, Cirque du Soleil among others.

Two transit zones at the Montréal-Trudeau international airport will also showcase C2-MTL by featuring the event’s colours throughout May.

Promotional activities based around Quebec-based entrepreneurs taking part in C2-MTL will also be featured on CJAD 800, Astral’s English-language news/talk radio station. The up-and-coming entrepreneurs will have the chance to talk about innovation on the Montreal station as a tie-in to the event.

Jacques Parisien, Astral’s executive vice-president and chief operating officer, said in a release that it was “totally natural” for Astral to team up with C2-MTL since creativity is an important factor of success for any company that wants to become a leader in its field. He also wants Astral to “contribute to Montreal’s visibility as a world hub of business creativity.”
