After winning a Gold Lion Wednesday night, BBDO and Wrigley‘s Skittles showed up five times on the Cannes Lions Film shortlist, released Thursday afternoon in Cannes.

All five spots are from the “interactive” video series that asked YouTube viewers to place their finger against the screen as typically quixotic Skittles scenarios play out as if the viewer’s finger is part of the scene. The “Cat” execution took home a Gold in the Cyber competition.

BBDO also made the shortlist for “Change” for Fedex, giving the agency six of the 20 total Canadian entries on the list. The Canadian tally is up 100% from the 10 that made the list in 2010.

Other multiple contenders for a Film Lion include Taxi with three shots for Pfizer‘s Viagra, Dare for the Amour adult network and Red Urban for Richmond Optometry. The complete list is below.

While the International Festival of Creativity has changed a great deal in recent years to reflect the growing importance of digital media, Film still remains one of the most highly anticipated competitions of the Festival. The winners will be announced at the Festival’s final awards gala Saturday evening. Watch for a special edition of Marketing Daily Saturday afternoon, soon after 3:30 pm EST.

After four days of shortlists and awards galas, the Film shortlist is the only significant development of the day related to Festival competitions. Friday will see the release of the Film Craft, Titanium and Integrated and new Creative Effectiveness lists.
