Andrew Bergstrom is taking over day-to-day operations of Cossette Toronto after his promotion to executive vice-president and managing director at the Toronto office. The move fills a post effectively left vacant since Brett Marchand was named Cossette’s CEO last year.
Bergstrom has been senior vice-president and head of Cossette’s Nucleus strategic planning division for two years and has been in the business for more than 20 years, working client-side with Volkswagen and Sprint and completing agency stints with Publicis and Y&R.
Late last year, Cossette restructured with many of its marketing divisions simplified under Cossette, which is turn controlled by the new holding company Vision7 International.
“It was Andrew’s successful integration of marketing services within our convergent group of clients such as the Bank of Montreal that became the basis of our integrated Cossette model,” said Marchand in a release. Bergstrom also launched Cossette’s “product innovation practice,” Idea Factory.
“More than ever, consumers are digesting multiple messages through multiple channels, all at the same time,” added Bergstrom. “Integrating our approach ensures we deliver powerfully engaging ideas that reflect that reality.”
