Blast Radius has promoted Gautam Lohia to the new position of executive vice-president of emerging technologies

Blast Radius has promoted Gautam Lohia to the new position of executive vice-president of emerging technologies.

Lohia was previously senior vice-president and client partner on the agency’s Microsoft account.

Lohia will head up a department of five senior technologists and strategists and is responsible for leading the emerging technology and mobile teams from the Vancouver office.

“Consumers are adopting smart phones incredibly fast and marketers are trailing behind,” Lohia said. “Organizations, at a minimum, need to be in a test-and-learn mode.”

Lohia said his department will look at trends in the market, the changing behaviour of consumers, the adoption of new devices and the introduction of new business models.
