Alex Bogusky left advertising last year with the entire industry watching. In March, he’ll emerge in the industry once again as the keynote speaker at IAB Canada’s Mixx conference in Toronto, leading a session called “Beyond Business As Usual.”
“The pace of change within the interactive industry demands that we, too, constantly rethink old ways of doing things, and not hang on to models that are no longer working,” said Paula Gignac, IAB Canada president, in a statement. “Having Alex Bogusky give us his insights and opinions about how advertisers can get beyond business as usual, rethink and reset for success in the coming decade and beyond—as well as the role that agencies and media companies can play in this transformation—will be the foundation that we build upon and refer back to.”
Bogusky, who retired his post of chief creative insurgent at MDC Partners in June after an award-winning career in Boulder, Colo., at Crispin Porter + Bogusky, has since founded FearLess Cottage, a design and consumer culture consultancy and advocacy group that Bogusky describes as “an informal clubhouse for insurgents in a new consumer revolution.”
The conference’s other speakers include Gian Fulgoni, executive chairman and co-founder of comScore; Andrew Newman, global senior director of insights, Tribal Fusion; Bill Clifford, VP global sales, WildTangent; Anthony Novac, founder and CEO, Spreed Inc.
