Joseph Bonnici, creative director at Toronto agency Bensimon Byrne, has been named head judge for the 11th annual ICE Awards.

The ICE Awards honour the best advertising in Atlantic Canada. The full jury includes:

Ian Schwey, creative director, Doug & Serge (Toronto)
Dean Lee, creative director, DDB (Vancouver)
Heather Vincent, creative director, Taxi (Toronto)
• Karen Larmour, creative director, Sid Lee (Toronto)
• Thane Calder, president, Cloudraker (Montreal)

“Being asked to be jury head for the ICE awards is such a great honour,” said Bonnici, in a release. “Year after year, I’ve been impressed by the quality of work that comes out of the East Coast. Often, there’s such a unique perspective attached to the idea. It seems like such a vibrant ad community and it will be fun to be a part of that.”

The entry period for the 2012 awards closes July 6. Judging is again set to take place in St. John’s, Nfld., and is scheduled for Sept. 20-22.
