Cameron Summers joins Weber Shandwick Canada

PR pro named national practice leader corporate and public affairs

Cameron Summers has been named national practice leader corporate and public affairs of Weber Shandwick Canada in Toronto.

Summers has advised leaders in the private and public sector for 20 years in such industries as health, life sciences, transportation, natural resources, energy, consumer packaged goods and telecommunications. He was chief of staff to Ontario’s Ministers of Research and Innovation and Tourism, and a senior advisor to Canada’s Minister of Transport and former Ontario premier Dalton McGuinty. He has advised in areas of corporate reputation, crisis and risk management, stakeholder relations, media relations and training and public affairs.

Summers started his agency career with Navigator as a senior consultant. He went on to become a senior vice-president at MSL Group and vice-president of public affairs at Edelman, where his work won several awards.

“Cameron’s passion for creating and telling client stories that win influence and change behaviour will add depth to our leadership position in developing master narratives, executive platforms and content creation,” said Greg Power, president, Weber Shandwick Canada, in a statement.
