Work from three Canadian agencies made the shortlist for the 2012 Internationalist Awards for Innovation in Media, now in its fourth year.

PHD Canada and Starcom Canada both have two nominations and Mediacom Canada has one.

PHD receives nods for its work with Italian beer brand Peroni that included an online fashion-focused hub managed by Canadian stylist Amy Lu and photographer Kevin Gonsalves.

The two covered parties during Fashion Week and the Toronto International Film Festival, interviewing attendees and snapping behind-the-scenes pics.

Starcom has been recognized for its work on the TD Bank Jazz Festival and Beam Global “Courvoisier Collective” campaigns.

Mediacom Canada’s nod is for for Maytag Canada.

The Internationalist Awards for Innovation in Media are hosted by The Internationalist magazine and judged on their innovative use of media and ability to provide business solutions and results.

Awards will be handed out April 4 in New York’s Time Square. The complete list of nominees can be found at the awards’ website.
