The annual Cannes Lions Canada party is always a relaxed scene. Harried Lion judges and Young Lions sip rosé, happy to be free of the Palais and in the sun for a few hours; festival goers compare notes on the week’s sessions; expats reconnect with old friends from back home.

This year’s party was well attended as attendees gossiped about the Film Lions shortlist (which had only been out a matter of hours), pontificated on whether any Canadian work might get shortlisted in Titanium (and some Canadian work was!) and even posed with a few ethereal Cirque du Soleil performers.
