Cannes 2013: Cyber, Design and Radio shortlists revealed

Wednesday will be an anxious night for the thirteen Canadian agencies that have been shortlisted in the Cyber, Design and Radio competitions at the 60th annual Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, which announce their winners tomorrow night.

Of the 13 agencies, John St., Leo Burnett and Cossette have multiple executions and category nominations.


Grip Ltd.’s “The Movie Out Here” for Labatt Breweries Canada;
• John St.’s “Electriphobia” for Mitsubishi Canada, “Carly’s Cafe” for Carly Fleischmann, “Gitchhiker” for Stanfields, and “Buyral” self-promotional video;
• One Twenty Three West for its company website;
• Tribal DDB‘s “Our Food. Your Questions” for McDonald’s Canada (three category nominations); and
• One Method‘s “La Carnita” for La Carnita.


Baillat Cardell & Fils‘ “Bian Posters” for Bian;
• Leo Burnett’s “Thank You For Helping The Homeless” and “Street House” for Raising the Roof, “Cook Without The Book” self-promotion (two category nominations), “Canadian CEO Olympic Invite” for Bell;
• Cossette’s “Off 2013” for Infopresse (two category nominations) and “The Enablis Effect” for Enablis;
• Lowe Roche‘s for the Heart & Stroke Foundation; and
• LG2Boutique‘s “F. Menard” branding.


• Leo Burnett’s “Cottage Cheese,” “February” and “Pillow” for James Ready;
Y&R‘s “Avocado” for Ford;
• DDB‘s “Plumber” for the Toronto Jewish Film Festival; and
DraftFCB’s “Abuse” for Family Services Toronto.
