Canadian involvement in the Cannes Lions‘ PR and Creative Effectiveness has never been high, but Tribal DDB/DDB Canada has landed on the PR shortlist for McDonald’s Canada’s “Our Food. Your Questions” campaign.

The work, which spoke directly to the public asking for questions about McDonald’s products and responding through social and mass media channels, already has two shortlist nods in the Promo & Activation and Direct competitions.

It was one of only 16 Canadian submissions in the PR contest.

None of Canada’s 8 submissions to the Creative Effectiveness competition found their way to the shortlist. Still one of Cannes Lions’ smaller endeavours, Creative Effectiveness garnered only 120 submissions worldwide. The shortlist has but 12 selections.

Gold, Silver, Bronze and Grand Prix Lions will be awarded in these competitions Monday evening at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.
