Cannes Lions announces 2015 Canadian jury members

More Canadians than ever fill the ranks

The 2015 jury members for the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity have been announced and there are more Canadians than ever among the ranks.

The festival many juries includes 10 Canadians, including one jury president – Leo Burnett CEO and chief creative officer Judy John will lead this year’s direct jury.

It also includes one of Marketing‘s 2014 Top 30 Under 30, Google brand activation lead Michael Joffe, who will sit on the branded content jury.

Andrew Saunders, chief revenue officer of Cannes media partner The Globe and Mail, said in a release that the number of Canadians selected for juries is an “outstanding testament to the caliber of talent” in the country’s ad industry.

“Canada’s advertising talent can compete head-to-head with the best on the world stage, and our best-ever showing on juries is indicative of our maturing presence in the places that count in the industry,” he said.
