Carlisle moves from client to Copeland

Former Connect Hearing marketer joins Copeland in Victoria

Jodie Carlisle is the new director of client services at Copeland Communications, a full service ad agency in Victoria, B.C.

Carlisle was most recently national marketing manager at the agency’s client Connect Hearing, working with the agency on a regular basis for the past six years.

Doug Brown, the agency’s creative director and owner, said he looked all across Canada to fill the long-vacant senior role, and found what he was looking for in Victoria.

“Jodie is the big piece of that puzzle that’s been missing since Roger Banister left in 2009. I had to take on the director of client services as well as the creative director role,” said Brown. “I’m not a director of client servicing guy, I’m a copy writer.”

Copeland’s account team also recently lost account manager Shane Goth to Vancouver’s Wasserman + Partners in July.

The agency is preparing to move into smaller offices after staff levels declined from a high of 20 down to 12.

Copeland’s client list includes BC Ferries, the Academy of Learning, Ralmax Group, Oak Bay Marine Group and Pacific Coach Lines.
