Chatterbox nabs NABS

Vancouver-based agency Chatterbox Social Media has announced a partnership with the western Canada chapter of the National Advertising Benevolence Society.

Vancouver-based agency Chatterbox Social Media has announced a partnership with the western Canada chapter of the National Advertising Benevolence Society.

Chatterbox, which officially launched in February, will be responsible for raising awareness for NABS West through social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. Prior to partnering with Chatterbox, NABS West handled social media communications in-house.

Emily Psimoulis, founder of Chatterbox – and also the founder of the separate agency network Thinkbox National Marketing – said the partnership was struck after she approached the NABS West board.

“We’ll be managing all their Twitter and Facebook accounts, blogging – anything that we feel, and that NABS feels, is right for them,” said Psimoulis. “They don’t really have anyone doing that for them right now.

“What they have right now is pretty basic. But we now will have a dedicated associate on their account, so we’ll be able to leverage what they have and grow their social media presence.”

Psimoulis said the partnership also fulfills her objective to give back to the advertising industry community.

“A lot of people have helped my career and I believe in helping others,” she said. “It was a natural thing to approach NABS because they help the community.”

Chatterbox began work for NABS at the beginning of April. Psimoulis said her agency was still working with NABS to determine concrete strategic steps.
