Lindsay Peterson-Chisholm has joined Toronto-based Cohn & Wolfe as vice-president, following a contract position as group director at the WPP-owned agency.
Peterson-Chisholm previously ran her own consulting firm and is the former GM of Energi PR in Toronto. As VP, she will be responsible for driving client growth and development and will work closely with Cohn & Wolfe’s global Digital Innovation Group.
“We had the opportunity to work with Lindsay on a contract basis as she addressed some immediate client needs, and quickly realized her enthusiasm and client service skills were worth putting to work on a permanent basis,” said David Gordon, managing partner at Cohn & Wolfe.
“Part of the attraction of Lindsay is her breadth of background, ranging from healthcare through to major consumer brands,” added Gordon. “Because our operating model encourages people to apply their skills across a range of client industries, rather than becoming pigeon holed into a single area… [her] background fit very well into the team.”
Cohn & Wolfe also formally announced it has hired its first creative director, Craig Ritchie, who joined the agency last August. The position is part of Cohn & Wolfe’s continuing strategy of ensuring it has “the right skills in place to address the evolution of PR and communications,” said Gordon.
“While PR has always been a content-focused industry, the channel evolution has introduced a much wider range of communication channels,” said Gordon. “Adding a CD enables us to find new ways of telling client stories—visually, orally and editorially—across this broader range of channels.”
Prior to joining Cohn & Wolfe, Ritchie was creative director at Edelman and previously worked at Organic as a digital strategist.
