Cossette has announced four hires and a major promotion at its Vancouver office.
Michael Milardo was promoted from co-creative director to executive creative director, and now leads the agency’s creative team. Milardo has been with Cossette for three years, and before that was a CD for Noise Digital. He’s also worked for Rethink and TBWA.
A statement from Cossette said Milardo’s experience with interactive and content development were key factors in his promotion.
The Vancouver office also welcomed a new head of strategy, Nicolas Strauss, and an associate creative director, Chris Zawada. Strauss came from a planning director role at Blast Radius, while Zawada joined from Taxi.
Laura McRae, formerly at Sid Lee, joined the team as a strategist, while Kelly Sherstobitoff joined as a brand supervisor after a two-year stint as an account manager at MercerBell in Australia.
The new hires follow a national assignment win from the U.S. arm of The Gap that includes in-store, web and mobile marketing. Cossette said its Vancouver office would be launching a new program focused on The Gap, Banana Republic, Old Navy and Athleta in the U.S.
“We had a year of significant growth from both new and existing clients so we’re excited to be able to invest back into our people and product,” said Cossette SVP and Vancouver GM Nadine Cole, in a statement.
