Cossette wins Tourism Yukon

Agency's Vancouver office to handle strategy, creative and digital work

Cossette has been named agency of record for Tourism Yukon, an assignment that will include strategy, creative and digital work. The account will be handled out of the agency’s Vancouver office.

“With our entrepreneurial spirit we feel a natural chemistry between Tourism Yukon and Cossette and look forward to sharing Yukon’s story,” said Cossette Vancouver executive creative director Michael Milardo, in a release.

The agency said it won the right to negotiate “special operating agency status” with Tourism Yukon after a competitive tendering process that began earlier this year.

The agency said it would work with local Yukon companies to help with strategy and content production.

“Tourism Yukon delivers an authentic experience of diverse culture and history as well as natural beauty and wilderness. We are excited to celebrate the territory as a year-round destination for visitors and showcase the incredible travel possibilities,” added Milardo.

Cossette Vancouver also announced two other account wins recently: rebranding for Willowbrook Shopping Centre, a Bentall Kennedy retail property in Langley, B.C. that is undergoing a huge renovation and expansion; and a partnership with Eagle Energy that includes strategic brand positioning, communications and creative.

Cossette upped its head count in Toronto recently including additional strategists, to help with wins there, including new business with M&M Food Market  and the Ontario Advertising Review Board.
