Comedy star Dave Foley of The Kids In The Hall fame will play a public relations boss in a Bell Media sitcom pilot for CTV.

Project 10 Productions said the Toronto native will star in Spun Out, about a fledgling PR firm with close-knit and dysfunctional employees.

Billed as Bell Media’s first multi-camera sitcom, the pilot is scheduled to shoot live in front of a studio audience beginning Jan. 18 in Toronto.

Co-stars include Vancouver native Paul Campbell (Battlestar Galactica) as a disgraced writer who joins the firm after suffering his own PR crisis.

Executive producer Andrew Barnsley says the 1990s series NewsRadio, which also starred Foley, was one of the touchstones when developing Spun Out.
