DentsuBos has announced it has been selected as the Canadian media agency of record for Constellation Brands, one of the biggest players in international wines and, according to the company, the leading multi-category alcohol operation in the U.S.

DentsuBos will take over national media planning and buying across all channels for Constellation’s wine and spirit divisions.

The agency counted Constellation as a client for six or seven years prior to Tuesday’s announcement. It handled strategy, media and creative for Constellation labels Sawmill Creek, Naked Grape and Bodacious, among others.

“We are incredibly excited to expand upon our existing relationship with Constellation,” says Sheri Rogers, vice-president, media for DentsuBos. “We’re really excited to take on the entire portfolio.”

About 15 to 20 of Constellation’s brands, both international and domestic, will fall under the AOR, says Rogers.

DentsuBos’s other major clients include Lexus, Scion, a part of Toyota and Dr. Pepper.
