Energi PR joins GlobalHealthPR

With the addition of Energy, GlobalHealthPR presence grows to 38 markets

Energi PR has become the sole Canadian partner of GlobalHealthPR, an independent worldwide agency partnership dedicated to health and medical communications.

“For us it’s a real opportunity to bring our healthcare expertise to a global market,” says Marlo Taylor, an Energi PR partner and head of its healthcare practice. “It gives us access to a huge network of healthcare professionals who are all looking at the same opportunities and figuring how best to serve clients around the world.”

GlobalHealthPR has a presence in 38 countries on five continents and serves more than two-thirds of the top 50 pharmaceutical companies. With headquarters in New York and regional offices in London and Singapore, GlobalHealthPR is a partnership of independently-owned and operated health and science communications agencies. Overall, it has more than 600 health-specialist communications professionals.

Being part of GlobalHealthPR will enable Energi PR to collaborate on new business opportunities, Taylor says. “We’ll be aggressively looking to grow the business over the next few years.”

The agency will also benefit from global best practices and be able to increase its bench strength and expertise, Taylor says.

Energi PR paid a membership fee to be part of GlobalHealthPR, she says.

The addition of Energi PR as a partner gives GlobalHealthPR clients “access to unrivaled insights, strategy and execution across Canada,” John Seng, chair of GlobalHealthPR said in a statement.

Founded in 1990, Energi PR has 11 employees in its Toronto office and eight in its Montreal office. Prior to 2010, it was known as MECA Communications.
