Extra Awards judges ready to judge

The 19th annual Extra Awards has announced its panel of judges for the critiquing process, which takes place later this week.

This year’s panel is co-chaired Tony Miller, partner, creative director at Smith Roberts Creative Communications and Sid Lee copywriter Alex Bernier.

Joining them on the judging panel are:

Philippe Comeau, copywriter, LG2;

Siobhan Dempsey, senior writer, Bensimon Byrne;

Marc Fabien, copywriter, Alfred;

Alfred Marc Guilbault, art director, Bleu Blanc Rouge;

Lance Martin, creative director, Taxi 2;

Dan Tanenbaum, president, Creative Shake; and

Gary Watson, co-creative director, BOS.

“We have a great line-up on this year’s judging panel,” said John Hinds, CEO of the Canadian Newspaper Association, in a release. “We know they bring experience, talent and creative expertise to the program.”

The winners will be announced via full-page ads in all major market newspapers this September.
