The Institute of Communications Agencies has a new board for 2014, led by John St. president Arthur Fleischmann.
Fleischmann takes over from Andrew Bruce of Publicis who moves over to the Board of Governors (despite recently being handed hefty new responsibilities with Publicis).
Bruce was “a passionate and visionary board chair,” said ICA chief executive Gillian Graham in a release. “Under his leadership, the ICA Board forged ground-breaking initiatives, resulting in a surge of new members, significant growth in our best practices agency search services and an evolutionary expansion in options for our CAAP certification courses.”
Joining Fleischmann on the board of directors will be:
• Doug Turney, MacLaren McCann (first vice-chair)
• Penny Stevens, Media Experts (second vice-chair)
• Aldo Cundari, Cundari (board of governors’ chair)
• Andrew Bruce, Publicis
• Al Scornaienchi, Agency59
• Andrew Bergstrom, Aperture1 and Vision7
• Andy Krupski, The Hive Inc.
• David Gibb, JWT Canada
• Laurie Young, Ogilvy
• Monica Ruffo, Lowe Roche
• Paul Reilly, BBDO
• Gillian Graham, ICA
• Jani Yates, ICA
“The entire world of marketing and advertising communication is changing almost daily, and we see our role as facilitators who provide access to industry leaders and game-breaking initiatives,” said Fleischmann. “I am thrilled to take on this challenge and work with the Board to drive important ICA programs and events such as our Agency Next speaker series and also a new committee, which will explore Innovation and Agency Transformation.”
