Fujifilm Canada has selected MS&L Toronto as its public relations agency of record for its digital camera division, following a competitive review.

The review began earlier this year with two other unnamed agencies. The Publicis-owned firm first presented its credentials, and was then given a month to compile a communication program based on Fujifilm’s strategies, said Kelly Kelly, senior director of marketing, imaging products with Fujifilm Canada.

“[MS&L’s] competency set was one thing that we were looking for and they were able to present…as well as excellent endorsements and case studies,” she said.

MS&L took over the account last month, and will provide creative communications programs through different media channels to support the marketing efforts of the company’s digital camera line, said Kelly.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Fujifilm,” said Gayla Brock-Woodland, managing director of MS&L Toronto, in a release.

“This mandate will allow us to use leading-edge communication strategies to highlight innovations behind Fujifilm’s latest digital camera products.”

MS&L is replacing Apex Public Relations on the digital camera portfolio, though Apex remains Fujifilm’s corporate PR agency of record.
