Interactive marketing agency Nurun has appointed former Bell Canada executive Nicolas Gaudreau to the newly created position of vice-president, general manager of its Montreal office.

His primary responsibilities will be to provide leadership to the existing management team, help with business development and counsel clients, said Steve Carbone, Nurun’s president for North America. Gaudreau will also be part of the North American leadership team, Carbone added.

Before joining Nurun, Gaudreau spent more than 20 years at Bell in e-business and marketing, and was most recently vice-president, interactive marketing for Bell.ca.

“Nicolas has a solid understanding of the interactive communications space, being a pioneer of the industry in Canada and having successfully led his team in the day-to-day operations of some of Canada’s highest trafficked media and e-commerce websites,” said Carbone.

Gaudreau said he was attracted to Nurun because of its “powerful network of expertise” spread across 13 offices around the world. “And the Montreal office, where the company was founded in 1995, has a lot of technical skills and is pivotal for growth strategies.”

In addition to his other responsibilities, Gaudreau will be working with Nurun’s flagship clients, which include L’Oréal, Michelin and Vidéotron.
