Grey bolsters content team

Karen Lee takes over as vice-president of CRM and content

Grey Canada has hired Karen Lee, formerly senior director of client services for Totem, to lead its content marketing team as VP of CRM and content.

Lee worked with Totem (formerly Redwood) for eight years, rising from account director to client services management. She worked with clients like P&G, Acura and Canadian Tire. Before that she spent more than a decade in account management at the BBDO/Proximity family.

In a release, Lee said she would be bringing a data-driven focus to Grey’s content practice. “The work that is really resonating with today’s consumers is data-driven; informing a system of creative assets that work together and find distribution in the most appropriate places,” she said.

The content group made further additions with Francesca Saraco as a digital media strategist as well as film director and editor Biko Franklin as production specialist.

Supporting the content group as director of production management will be Terri Vegso, who most recently was a producer for Red Urban. While there she worked on Volkswagen’s much-awarded Once More: The Story of VIN 903847, a documentary about a 1955 VW Beetle that traveled the world three times. Vegso also worked with The Production Kitchen and Lowe Roche, where she was a print production manager for seven years.
