Grey Canada bolsters senior staff in Toronto and Vancouver

Marc Cattapan and Lisa Chen-Weng join the WPP-owned agency

Grey Canada is bolstering its technology-focused business and adding new senior staff members to its Toronto and Vancouver offices.

The key hires include Marc Cattapan as director of technology and user experience in Toronto, along with Lisa Chen-Wing as associate creative director in the company’s Vancouver office.

Cattapan comes to Grey’s technology and development team from Ariad Communications. Previously, Cattapan spent four-plus years at John St, working the tech angle for clients as diverse as Tetley, WWF Canada, Maple Leaf and Mitsubishi.

Meanwhile, Chen-Wing joins the Vancouver team, but will work with clients in the company’s other offices as well, Grey Canada said. In addition for winning plaudits for art direction, Chen-Wing’s resume includes stints at DDB Vancouver and Rethink.

“Our drive is to deliver famously effective communications in any form,” said Grey Canada president Stephanie Nerlich.

“The ability to provide best-in-class thought leadership in every discipline and each office in equal measure has been a key focus for our agency. As a result of our growth, we’re fortunate to be able to attract strong senior talent across our Canadian network to deliver upon that goal.”

Grey Canada, which is under the Grey Group umbrella and has WPP as its global parent company, works on high profile accounts such as Volvo, GSK, P&G and Brown Forman.
