HackerNest selects Energi PR as first agency of record

Mandate includes strategic communications planning, media and stakeholder relations

HackerNest, a non-profit organization that builds tech communities around the world, has selected Energi PR as its public relations agency of record.

Energi PR will be responsible for establishing and driving HackerNest’s communications strategy. The mandate includes strategic communications planning, media and stakeholder relations, issues and crisis management and content development. It’s the first time HackerNest has used an outside agency.

HackerNest runs friendly community events called “Tech Socials” and hackathons as part of its mission to make peer-based tech education more accessible. It is the largest technology community in Canada, and currently operates in 22 cities in 13 countries.

Esther Buchsbaum, president and co-founder, Energi PR, said HackerNest has “an innovative business model and powerful platform and we are proud and excited to support them in realizing their vision.”
