Hill+Knowlton Alberta names Bill Brunton GM

Former Stratus Marketing owner to oversee agency's Calgary and Edmonton offices

Bill Brunton has been named senior vice-president and general manager of Hill+Knowlton Alberta and will manage operations for the Calgary and Edmonton offices.

Brunton, a long time Albertan, has 25 years of consulting, management and leadership experience.

He was most recently chief communications officer at the Calgary Board of Education—western Canada’s largest school district. From 2003 to 2013, Brunton was president and owner of marketing communications consultancy Stratus Marketing.

Brunton is currently on the board of the Calgary Chamber of Commerce where he has led several committees and projects, and chairs the board’s finance and audit committee.

“Bill comes to us with a strong client service focus and a deep understanding of the Alberta market,” said Goldy Hyder, president and CEO of Hill+Knowlton Canada, in a statement. “Working with our teams in both offices, Bill will strengthen our service offering for clients, and ensure continued growth and success.”
