Holiday Cheer: YTV’s holiday sweaters

A Home Alone reference meets a seasonal fashion staple

Every year, Corus fills YTV‘s December calendar with holiday fare like A Charlie Brown Christmas, Elf and Home Alone. Playing up the grand tradition of Christmas sweaters, YTV sent Marketing these bright green sweaters with one of the best known lines from Home Alone, “Merry Christmas ya filthy animal.” (A reference to a fictional gangster / holiday movie.)

Marketing‘s managing editor, Jeromy Lloyd and senior staff writer, Russ Martin, decided to get into the spirit (and the sweaters) and snap this photo with the closest Christmas trees.
