After launching a review for its national advertising assignment in January, Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada has named Toronto-based agency John St. its new agency of record.

Sources close to the review told Marketing that John St. won out over five other agencies: The Hive, GWP, Rain 43, Rethink and the incumbent BBDO.

The review began because Mitsubishi’s corporate policy requires vendor reviews every three to five years. Trapeze took over the automaker’s digital agency duties from BBDO’s sister agency Proximity late last year. OMD remains the media agency of record.
