Corus Entertainment has announced Toronto-based Juniper Park as agency of record for its women’s portfolio, giving Juniper marketing and branding responsibilities for W Network, Cosmopolitan TV and OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network (Canada).
The decision was officially made in July, but was announced Tuesday to give time for some of the agency’s work for Corus to roll out.
Juniper Park worked on a holiday campaign for W Network that started in early December and will run through the month. It promotes the holiday movies airing back-to-back during December and is supported with out-of-home, mall banners, newspaper and radio. In the fall, it executed a multimedia campaign to promote the Monday to Thursday schedule, Come Dine with Me Canada and Saturday night movies.
Shelley Findlay, vice-president, marketing, women’s specialty television at Corus, said in a release that the media company was impressed by the work Juniper Park has done with marketing to women. “They demonstrated a portfolio of work that truly showed they understand how to communicate to women in an insightful and impacting way,” said Findlay.
Juniper Park’s president, Jill Nykoliation, told Marketing that the shop built a platform this year for Quaker Canada’s women’s snacking products, Quaker Crispy Minis and Quaker Café Squares. The shop has also been working on a number of EOS’ beauty products: a shave product, lip balm and lotion.
Nykoliation said Juniper’s work marries its own insights on marketing to women with Corus’ “W Her Report,” an online panel of Canadian women. Combining this data “is a wonderful complement,” she said.
Part of the Omnicom Group, Juniper Park’s other clients include Tropicana, Virgin Mobile and Ontario Toyota Dealers.
