Janine Allen joins the firm's Toronto office

Janine Allen has joined Kaiser Lachance Communications as vice-president in the corporate practice group. She will focus on business development and serve as a senior communications advisor and program manager.

Allen had previously been senior director of marketing at Sears Canada since Oct. 2012, where she led the organization’s brand marketing and communications activities and oversaw public relations, advertising and media agencies. In that role, she was responsible for strengthening media and industry relationships, new product announcements, promotional events and facilitating strategic sponsorships.

From 2008 to 2012, Allen was a vice-president at Fleishman Hillard, where she provided strategic counsel for clients in the payments, real estate, retail, travel and tourism, non-profit and food and beverage sectors in addition to leading the agency’s Toronto consumer practice group.

Before that, she was a senior consultant at Veritas Communications.
