Financial technology start-up FundThrough has hired Kaiser Lachance Communications as its communications agency of record.
Toronto-based FundThrough is an online lending platform that provides lines of credit to small businesses.
“When we were selecting our agency we needed a partner that had a deep understanding of both financial services and technology, and had the experience to help us effectively launch and promote our product offering,” Steven Uster, FundThrough co-founder and CEO said in a statement. “Kaiser Lachance was a natural choice given our requirements.”
Much of the PR work will involve profile-raising for the start-up which launched in early March, says Dan Madge, senior director of Kaiser Lachance in Toronto.
“A lot of the challenges at the beginning are getting your name out there. A lot of what we’re doing is media relations to build that profile and get people to see them as experts on how to get working capital for your company.”
Madge says FundThrough will “have a big difference in the way small businesses work in Canada. For us, it’s really exciting to be a part of it at the very beginning.”
Kaiser Lachance 15 employees in Toronto, and two in Montreal.
