30 Under 30 alumna joins Facebook Canada as a client partner

Kathryn Buczko has left the flock at Twitter Canada.

The 30 Under 30 alumna recently joined Facebook Canada as a client partner. In her new role, Buczko will continue working with some of the country’s biggest advertisers as a member of Facebook’s consumer packaged goods team.

Buczko was one of the very first hires at Twitter Canada and worked at the company for more than two years. During her tenure, she worked with a bevy of advertisers including Hudson’s Bay, Victoria’s Secret, IKEA and Nike Canada.

In a statement to Marketing, Facebook Canada’s group director, global marketing solutions, Alison Leung, said, “Kathryn has a reputation for being a strategic business partner, which makes her a great addition to the consumer packaged goods team that is driving significant growth in Canada. We are thrilled to have her join the Facebook Canada team.”

Buczko added that she was drawn to Facebook because of the way the platform is constantly evolving. “As consumers shift their time to mobile and video, Facebook is leading the way in creating new experiences for people and brands to interact,” she said. “This constant evolution fascinates me and I’m excited by the opportunities it brings.”

Prior to Twitter, Buczko worked at Syncapse for more than five years, working her way up from account coordinator to senior account manager.
