Kenna and Henderson bring their analytics and digital closer

Mississauga-based marketing solutions agency Kenna has merged with digital advertising agency Henderson Bas Kohn (HBK). Both agencies are part of Toronto-based holding company MDC Partners.

The agencies will continue to operate separately and maintain their current leadership, but will leverage each other’s skill sets to provide clients with “measurable, digitally enabled marketing communications,” according to a statement from MDC.

As part of the same agency network, HBK and Kenna have partnered on past projects, said Dawna Henderson, HBK’s president and CEO, in a statement.

“We found our combined offering had powerful benefits for clients, so we started talking about making the relationship more formal,” she said. “Both companies are now in a position to take our services to the next level.”

Kenna counts Nissan, Wrigley, BASF and MBNA among its clients while HBK’s roster includes Kraft, Nestle, Coca-Cola, Mercedes-Benz, Manulife, Yamaha Motors and The Weather Network.

“Joining forces gives us over 200 people and a uniquely comprehensive offering that will support our clients’ evolving needs in an environment of continuous customer engagement and interaction,” said Kenna president Glenn Chilton.

Other agencies within the MDC Partners network include Crispin Porter + Bogusky, 72andsunny and Kirshenbaum Bond Senecal & Partners.
