Le Massif de Charlevoix has selected Cossette as its communications and marketing agency of record.

The group launched a call for bids last fall, with Cossette and three other agencies chosen as finalists.

“People at Cossette are not only professional but also passionate, and their welcome was exceptional. We are very happy to share our passion with them,” said Isabelle Vallée, public relations officer.

In fall 2009, Le Massif began a vast development project, combined with a new brand image (created by Taxi) and a new name, Le Massif de Charlevoix.

“Taxi fulfilled its mandate very well but it is always interesting, and normal, to hear new pitches,” said Vallée. “This year, we are going from being simply a mountain to a tourism and recreation area… Keeping this in mind, everything (our communications, our branding) has to be reassessed. Each agency has its strengths, and in this context, Cossette understood the values we were looking for.”

Groupe Le Massif also announced its partnership with Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu, the new supplier of all the meals served onboard the touring train that will link Quebec City and La Malbaie, the town closest to the mountain. Cossette’s first mandate will be to create a marketing campaign in preparation of the train’s inauguration next June.

CloudRaker remains the interactive agency for Groupe Le Massif.
