Liquid Communications hired to promote new luxury brand

Online retailer Forty-Eight 10 will build its brand through media and consumer events

Liquid Communications has been named public relations agency of record for new luxury online retailer Forty-Eight 10.

The agency will lead a comprehensive communications plan including media relations, influencer campaigns, strategic partnerships in addition to consumer and media events.

“We won the account after responding to an RFP, preparing a proposal and a five-month review process,” says Amanda Lao, communications director at Liquid Communications.

The agency has its showroom ready with samples, is in negotiations with influencers and TV personalities and is planning an event for next month.

PR will be Canada-focused for the first year and next steps will be determined after a one-year review.

“We believe in the brand and are eager to tell its story,” Lao says.

Forty-Eight 10 was created by Juliana Gallimore and launched this month. It carries a variety of designer brands such as Rachel Zoe, Eli Tahari and Ted Baker.

The company offers a one-on-one personal shopping service through online chats with fashion stylists. Customers can build profiles on the site to track purchases and allow stylists to better determine their size and style needs.

Liquid Communications employs eight employees across its offices in Toronto and Los Angeles.
