IPG Mediabrand’s Initiative media house has named Adam Luck the president of its Canadian operations.

Reporting to Mediabrands Canada CEO Harvey Carroll, Luck assumes oversight of the agency’s work on clients such as ING Direct, Dr. Oetker and clothing retailer H&M.

“We are very excited that a marketing professional with Adam’s background and proven track record has agreed to lead Initiative’s efforts in Canada,” said Carroll, in a release. “His expertise in the digital and strategy areas will only improve our product and his experience in the new business arena will help us grow our agency’s reach in this market.”

Luck arrives from Bimm Digital & Direct. Prior to Bimm, Luck was group director, business at Toronto creative agency Grip Ltd., where he’d work for five years after working at Cossette and its affiliated Fjord Interactive unit.
