You’ll pardon a bit of bragging, but we’re pretty excited about our showing at the Kenneth R. Wilson Awards – the trade magazine industry’s Oscar Night – where Marketing won two golds.

Art director Peter Zaver and co-managing editor David Brown were lauded for their “Cool in the City” cover of Marketing’s Oct. 25, 2010 issue, which won gold in the Best Cover category.

Jeff Beer, who now hangs his hat at Canadian Business, also won gold in Best News Coverage for “The Globe and Mail Makes Its Move” from our Oct. 11, 2010 issue (you can read an excerpt here).

Marketing earned 13 nominations in total across seven categories.

Up Here Business, which covers business in Canada’s north, won Magazine of the Year honours. Design Edge Canada won Website of the Year.
