Melanie Dunn to steer Cossette’s national operations

A Quebec powerhouse steps up

Cossette is bringing its Quebec powerhouse further onto the national stage by naming Melanie Dunn president and CEO of Cossette Canada.

Dunn, who joined the company in 2000 as part of its Blitz CRM division in Montreal, has been overseeing the network’s two Quebec agencies since 2013. Dunn took over Quebec as the company was trying to recover from an economic downturn for 2008/9, and has grown that business by winning national business from Aeroplan, Telus and The Royal Canadian Mint.

“She’s on her second consecutive year of double-digit growth,” said Brett Marchand, president and CEO of the agency’s parent company, Vision7 International. “She’s been able to not just grow that office, but turn it into a national leader.”

Dunn will report to Marchand, leading Canadian operations while Marchand remains involved in a few key accounts and oversees the company’s global expansion efforts (which have become a priority since Vision 7’s 2014 acquisition by China’s BlueFocus Communications Group).

“My goal will be to build on the Cossette legacy of strong leadership in all our individual offices across the country,” said Dunn, in a release. “My intention is to help our leaders build on their talents and to make sure that they have all they need to be as successful as possible.”
