Cossette Vancouver has ramped up its creative and digital capabilities with the hiring of Michael Milardo as co-creative director and Kate Chalmers as digital brand director. Milardo will partner with Nick Richards, vice-president and creative director.

For Milardo, who has spent the past four years at Noise Digital working on accounts such as Sony PlayStation and Nokia, it’s a return to working with former Rethink staffers Nadine Cole (VP and general manager) and Andrea MacFarlane (creative traffic manager).

“Noise is great, but it’s 90% pure digital environment, and I missed print and stunt bus stops and big events – that faster fix of traditional based advertising,” said Milardo. “The new Cossette has a really great energy about the place and people are super keen and I feel like we are going to do big things.”

Chalmers was most recently a digital project manager with Blast Radius working on the Starbucks account.

Cossette now has a headcount of 45 in the Vancouver office and has notched up a series of new business wins in recent months including Caya, Children of the Streets, Volleyball BC and Royal Roads University, among others.
