Money Mart has named Dare Vancouver as its new agency of record.

The financial services and payday loan company is based in Victoria, B.C. and has more than 475 branches spread across the country.

Derek Shorkey, senior vice-president and managing partner at Dare, said Money Mart hired Farrell Crowley Consulting of Boston to manage its agency search, which included multiple agencies across Canada. “It was quite an involved pitch drawn out over a long time,” he said.

Money Mart has worked with several different agencies over the past few years and is looking for a “refreshment and reinvigoration” of the brand said Shorkey, adding that he expects it to be a “significant account” for the agency.
