Monique Brosseau leaving DDB

Brosseau served as VP, managing director of the Montreal office for just over two years

DDB is looking for someone new to help run its Montreal office with the coming departure of Monique Brosseau.

In a brief statement Monday morning, DDB announced Brosseau is leaving “to pursue another opportunity.” The agency said it had begun looking for someone to fill the “co-lead” role alongside vice-president creative director Etienne Bastien.

Brosseau and Bastien have jointly managed DDB Montreal since the office was officially opened 2014. Before that, DDB’s presence in Montreal came through an alliance with bleublancrouge.

Brosseau has 23 years experience in the communications industry including stops with L’Oréal, Publicis and Nurun. Before joining DDB in 2014, Brosseau spent seven years with ZenithOptimedia in Montreal, leaving there as executive vice-president and general manager.

DDB said Brosseau had played “an integral role co-leading DDB Canada Montreal” with Bastien, crediting them with contributing to an expanded client list that now includes Volkswagen, McDonald’s, Investors Group, Dairy Farmers of Canada and the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada.

A call to Brosseau for comment was not immediately returned. Marketing will update this story with any new information.
