Firm promotes two, hires five

Catherine Heroux has been promoted from vice-president to senior vice-president, consumer at MSLGroup’s Toronto office, in one of several promotions and hirings announced by the firm.

Heroux will work to expand the agency’s offerings in such areas as food and beverage, lifestyle and health and wellness.

In her two years as a vice-president at MSLGroup, Heroux has managed the expansion of B2C and healthcare mandates. Heroux has 17-years experience in CPG, food, quick service, casual dining, retail, mobile payments and pharma.  Before joining MSLGroup, Heroux was a vice-president at Strategic Objectives.

In other news at the agency, Ian Giles recently joined MSLGroup as social digital leader with the mandate to expand the agency’s offerings across paid, owned and earned channels.

Giles has a multidisciplinary background spanning more than 20 years and work in such sectors as CPG, retail, technology, travel and hotels, pharmaceuticals, media, telecommunications, financial services and food and beverage.  He was previously vice-president, digital and social at Harbinger Communications.

In addition, Katie Marie MacKay has been promoted from account associate to account executive.

Marni Zaretsky has joined the firms as an account executive. She was previously at Veritas Communications.

As well, Tiffany Loung has been named an account associate. She joined MSLGroup as an intern.  Lissa Mangano, who was previously at TI Group, and Justin Gaul, who was previously at Veritas Communications, have also joined the firm as account associates.
