The National Advertising Benevolent Society (NABS) will celebrate its 30th birthday with a celebration in Toronto this fall.

The organization, which offers support to those in Canada’s marketing and communications fields, will host a party at the Four Seasons Hotel Toronto in Yorkville on Sept. 26. Dubbed “An Enchanted Evening,” the event is a way for the industry to show its appreciation to NABS, said its event chair and Microsoft Advertising director of marketing Lynne Clarke in a release.

“NABS deserves to be celebrated for the hand up in life they have given to tens of thousands of people in our industry,” said Sunni Boot, honourary NABS chair and CEO of ZenithOptimedia.

Preparations for the event (which will feature live music by The Jingle Punks Hipster Orchestra, a string ensemble that has scored several TV shows and films and performs cover versions of current hits) have been in the works by a team of 16 NABS members for months.

Marketing is one of the event’s sponsors.
